About us

Since 1991, in Hong Kong.

Silverstrand Bay Lions Club was founded in 1991 under Lions Clubs International Multiple District 303. We are an all-volunteer club of 29 members — no fees, no commercial interest.

For 36 years, our work has been organised around four pillars: students, elders, caregivers, SEN families.

We believe mental wellness is not a clinic's job — it is a neighbour's job. Every service we design is community-first: at school gates, in care homes, at market stalls, in caregiver circles.

We also believe large-scale action can galvanise a community. On 2027-02-27 we will coordinate a Guinness World Record attempt: 3,600 people in a single AED-awareness training — the largest single-day community action in our 36-year history.

Mission

Mental wellness begins in community — designing neighbourhood-scale, sustainable, affordable, trustworthy support.

Belief

Volunteer spirit, commercial neutrality, transparent governance. No registration costs, no commissions, no commercial donation gateways.

Design principle

When we design a service we first ask: after this ends, will residents carry new capacity, new relationships, new paths to ask for help?
